BSP with the New Writing Series featuring Lashon Daley
A Reading and Discussion
Lashon Daley is a children’s literature scholar and writer, whose work focuses on representations of girls of color, in particular, Black girls. She is an assistant professor and is also the director of the National Center for the Study of Children’s Literature at SDSU. Her children’s picture book, Mr. Okra Sells Fresh Fruits and Vegetables, was published by Pelican Publishing. As a scholar, writer and performer, Lashon thrives on bridging communities together through movement and storytelling.
